About Us
The early music ensemble Harmonious Blacksmith has been described as
"lively, enthusiastic and expressive in their playing,
creating seamless sets of compositions . . . with superb improvisations."
Harmonious Blacksmith’s versatility ranges from solo concerts to chamber
orchestra.
Their recent events include a concert at the
Washington Early Music Festival, staged performances of Handel’s Alcina with
Opera Vivente, a performance at the Magnolia Baroque Festival that that the Winston-Salem Journal called
"a dazzling display of virtuosity. . . manifested itself most strongly in an uncanny ability to create highly inventive music on the spot."
Future engagements include performances at Artscape 2008, The Embassy Series in Washington, DC, and the
Indianapolis Early Music Festival.
